چکیده
In current medicine, joint revision surgery plays an important role in the treatment of degenerative diseases. Infections artificial joints are iatrogenic, accompanying symptom after replacement procedures. A new approach is to functionalize bioactive coatings implants by infiltrating them with anti-inflammatory drugs. This work aims at a one-step manufacturing drug-doped, porous hydroxyapatite high-velocity suspension flame spraying (HVSFS). Thermal exposure temperature-sensitive drugs critical. Therefore, process setup, combining one axial and radial line, used for coating deposition. The lower dwell time through injection helps controlling temperature exposition contained drug flame. Additionally, influence powder morphology, as carrier suspension, investigated carrying out spray experiments suspensions from three different granule types. To analyze within process, fluoresceine was model drug, decomposition organic, fluorescing molecules can be easily controlled fluorescence intensity measurements. It could shown that deposition organic possible without degrading molecular structure modified HVSFS process. knowledge offers possibilities cost-effective functionalized, bioceramic on orthopaedic implants.

Processing and Characterisation of High-velocity Suspension Flame Sprayed (hvsfs) Bioactive Glass Coatings
The High-Velocity Suspension Flame Spraying (HVSFS) technique was employed in order to deposit bioactive glass coatings onto titanium substrates. Two different glass compositions were examined: the classical 45S5 Bioglass and a newly-developed SiO2–CaO–K2O–P2O5 glass, labelled as “Bio-K”. Suitable raw materials were melted in a furnace and fritted by casting into water. The frit was dry-milled ...

A novel procedure for the synthesis of both hydroxyapatite (HAP) and palladium doped HAP via a wet chemical precipitation method is described herein. X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Raman Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) Spectroscopy are utilised to characterise the synthesised material’s morphology,...
متن کاملPhotoluminescence of Erbium-doped Silica-based Waveguide Film via Flame Hydrolysis Deposition and Aerosol Doping
Silica based waveguides on Si fabricated by flame hydrolysis deposition were doped with erbium ions using an aerosol doping technique, and co-doped with GeO2, P2O5 and B2O3. Erbium doping levels in the films were dependent on the nebulized solution concentration and delivery rate of the aerosol to the torch. The erbium solution concentration was varied from 4 to 8 wt%. The refractive index was ...
متن کاملMorphology, Composition, and Bioactivity of Strontium-Doped Brushite Coatings Deposited on Titanium Implants via Electrochemical Deposition
Surface modification techniques have been applied to generate titanium implant surfaces that promote osseointegration for use in dental applications. In this study, strontium-doped brushite coatings were deposited on titanium by electrochemical deposition. The phase composition of the coating was investigated by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The surface morphologie...
